BIOGRAPHY

Angie Chestnut

Angie moved to SW Florida in 1992 and was immediately swept up with the natural beauty of her new home. She found herself constantly on the water and exploring new territories.

From the backwaters of Pine Island Sound to some of the most remote locations in the Everglades and the Florida Keys, Angie immersed herself in the landscapes.

A true outdoors person, Angie’s passions include fly fishing and she has held nine Saltwater IGFA World Records. Fly rod in hand, Angie has seen some of the most beautiful scenery imaginable which inspired her to begin documenting with her images.

Angie has always been artistic, but the desire to truly capture the landscapes of southern Florida inspired her to further her career in photography. Her work specializes in landscape and nature photography - primarily South Florida, the Everglades and the FL Keys.
She and her partner, Alan Erickson, like to "get out in it" whether via their custom designed Gheenoe "Black Fly" or their swamp buggy "Muddy Waters".

"I believe that my artistic insight along with my persistent explorations allow me the ability to find the right perspective and composition of an image. Sure, anyone can take a photograph, but I strive for the view that will make people stop and look at it differently and see a beauty that they did notice before.”

Angie Chestnut is an award winning photographer with an extensive background in the fine art of nature photography.
